Martina Hoffman

Martina Hoffman was born in Germany but spent much of her youth in Cameroon, West Africa growing up between European and African cultures. She returned to Germany to complete her education in art but felt drawn to Cadaques, Spain where she met Robert Venosa.

Inspired by his work she took up visionary painting and the two began to live and travel together. Apart from international acclaim for her paintings, Martina has designed her own clothing, jewelry and is an accomplished sculptor.

She worked with a woman's activist group, Vox Femina, where she would perform life sculpting on stage in the midst of a multimedia event. She is well known for her works depicting enlightened women, goddesses and the beauty and power of pregnancy.
